Robert Marshall became President and CEO of Disability Resources in Abilene, Texas in December 2024. Robert has also served as an Adolescent Counselor at the Betty Hardwick Center in Abilene and was the President and CEO of Hendrick Home for Children 2021 – 2024. From 1999 – 2021, Robert Marshall was with Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch and Girlstown, USA. His last position was Vice President of Operations. Robert graduated from McMurry University with a Bachelor of Arts in 1992. He attained his Masters in Counseling and Human Development from Hardin-Simmons University in 1994. He has licenses from the state of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Childcare Administrator. He is also a certified Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association Therapist.

Disability Resources, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is a planned community designed to enhance the lives of adults with intellectual disabilities. Our caring staff members help residents develop their life skills, provide required medical care and a variety of therapies, offer spiritual opportunities for growth, and encourage healthy lifestyles. In short, DRI exists to provide exceptional care and contented lives to intellectually challenged adults in a Christian environment.

Robert is on the Alumni Board of Directors at McMurry University and is a member of the statewide organization, Texas Coalition of Homes for Children He is also a board member for the international Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association. He is active with the Abilene Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Abilene, and the Abilene/Dyess Military Affairs Committee.

Robert and his wife, Shannon, have two daughters, a son-in-law, and two grandchildren. They are members of Wylie Methodist Church.
