Effective February 27, 2009, Mr. Tom Osborne and Chapman Associates, Inc had their respective insurance licenses revoked by the State of Maine Bureau Of Insurance. Information specific to the circumstances surrounding this action can be found at:  http://www.maine.gov/pfr/insurance/consent_agreements/date_list.htm  - scroll down to 2008 – Thomas S. Osborne and Chapman Associates, Inc. – docket # INS-08-231. Regretfully, this action has affected a number of our members. Many of you have already received letters from insurance carriers, others have not yet been contacted.

If you have a policy, contact the insurance carrier to determine if the policy has been paid. If not, the carrier will let you know the next steps to take. If you have not yet received a policy from Chapman, and you have paid for it, you should contact the carrier they placed your coverage with.  If you have not paid for it, you might want to start over with another broker.

In the event you are unable to obtain the information required, you may contact your state’s department of insurance for assistance. In the meantime, if you require coverage placement or renewal help, you are also welcome to contact EAGALA’s insurance referral, Mark Fredricksen at PMT (now Hub International) Insurance - 800-422-6210, mark.fredricksen@hubinternational.com to assist.

Thank you!  Feel free to let us know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Lynn Thomas
